Description

This Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing offers a vibrant Southwestern flavor with fresh cilantro and lime, combined with creamy avocado and herbs. Perfect for salads or as a dip, it is rich in healthy fats and easy to prepare in just a few minutes.

Ingredients

Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe avocado
  • 1 cup buttermilk (more to reach desired consistency)
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill
  • 1 lime, juice of
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Avocado: Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out of the skin carefully to ensure you get all the creamy interior.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Place the avocado flesh into a blender along with the buttermilk, cilantro, parsley, fresh dill, lime juice, chopped garlic, onion powder, chili powder, and salt.
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Blend all ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If needed, add more buttermilk or water to adjust the consistency to your liking.
  4. Taste and Adjust Seasoning: Sample the dressing and add additional salt or lime juice if desired to enhance the flavors.
  5. Chill Before Serving: Transfer the dressing to a container and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld and the dressing to thicken slightly.
  6. Storage: Keep the dressing refrigerated; it will stay fresh for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • The dressing will be quite thick as is; add extra buttermilk or water to thin it for a pourable salad dressing consistency.
  • This dressing works well both as a salad dressing or as a dip for vegetables or chips.
