Ingredients
Meat & Seasoning
- 8 ounces 93% ground turkey
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Wrap & Fillings
- 2 large, 10-inch low-carb tortillas (Tumaros)
- 2 slices American or cheddar cheese (0.7 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon golden mustard
- Dill pickle slices
- Red onion slices
- Shredded lettuce
Cooking & Optional
- Olive oil spray
- Optional: Air fryer french fries or chips for crunch
Instructions
- Form Patties: Divide the ground turkey into two equal portions and shape each into a flat patty about 1/3 inch thick. Season both sides evenly with kosher salt.
- Cook Burgers (Skillet Method): Spray a skillet with olive oil and heat it over medium heat. Place the turkey patties in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and reach a safe internal temperature.
- Prepare Skillet for Wrap: After cooking, wipe the skillet clean, spray it again lightly with oil, and keep it heated on medium-low to prepare for crisping the crunch wrap.
- Assemble Wrap: Place one cooked burger patty in the center of a tortilla. Layer on one slice of cheese, dill pickle slices, red onion slices, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1/2 tablespoon golden mustard, and a handful of shredded lettuce. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling to make a crunch wrap, sealing the ingredients inside.
- Crisp Wrap (Skillet): Place the folded crunch wrap into the hot skillet with the folded side down. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the bottom is browned and crispy. Carefully flip and cook the other side for another 1 to 2 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Cook Burgers (Air Fryer Method): Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (204°C). Place the turkey patties in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 to 14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until completely cooked through.
- Prepare Air Fryer Basket: After cooking the patties, wipe the air fryer basket clean and spray lightly with olive oil spray.
- Assemble Wrap (Air Fryer): Place a cooked burger patty in the center of each tortilla. Add one slice of cheese, pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, and shredded lettuce. Fold the tortilla sides into a crunch wrap shape.
- Crisp Wrap (Air Fryer): Spritz the top of the folded crunch wrap with olive oil spray. Place the wrap folded side down in the preheated air fryer basket. Air fry at 400°F for 4 to 5 minutes, then carefully flip and cook for an additional 4 to 5 minutes until the wrap is browned and crispy.
- Serve: Remove the crunch wraps from the skillet or air fryer, slice if desired, and serve immediately. Optionally, add air fryer french fries or chips for extra crunch on the side.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef, chicken, or any preferred burger meat for the turkey.
- Using low-carb tortillas keeps this recipe lighter but regular tortillas work just as well.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer or skillet specifications.
- Be careful when flipping the fold sides to maintain the wrap’s shape.
- Optional: Add fries or chips inside the wrap to enhance the crunch factor.
