Ingredients
For the Parmesan Beef:
1 lb beef (ribeye, sirloin, or flank), thinly sliced or cubed
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
¼ cup grated Parmesan (plus more for topping)
For the Garlic Butter Spaghetti:
12 oz spaghetti
4 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
- Season beef with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using). Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3–5 minutes. Sprinkle with ¼ cup Parmesan, stirring until slightly crusted. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt 4 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Return beef to the skillet and mix until combined.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- Substitute beef with chicken, shrimp, or mushrooms for variation.
- Swap Parmesan with Pecorino Romano for a sharper flavor.
- Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or roasted bell peppers for extra nutrition.
- Use half-and-half or milk instead of cream for a lighter sauce.
- Best served fresh, but leftovers reheat well with a splash of milk or cream.
