Description

Crispy buffalo tofu with Caesar salad is a quick, flavorful, and family-friendly dish featuring air-fried tofu tossed in tangy buffalo sauce, served with creamy Caesar salad for a balanced and satisfying meal ready in under 20 minutes.


Ingredients

16 oz package firm or extra-firm tofu

2 tbsp cornstarch

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp avocado oil

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

3 tbsp butter (or plant-based butter for vegan)

1/4 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s Red Hot)

Salad with Caesar, ranch, or bleu cheese dressing


Instructions

  1. Drain the tofu and gently press with a towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Tear tofu into bite-sized chunks and toss with cornstarch, soy sauce, avocado oil, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  3. Air fry at 400°F for 8 minutes. Shake or toss, then cook for another 5–6 minutes until golden and crispy. (For oven baking, cook at 400°F for 20 minutes, tossing halfway through.)
  4. Melt butter and whisk with hot sauce to make buffalo sauce.
  5. Toss crispy tofu in buffalo sauce until well coated.
  6. Serve over salad with Caesar dressing or enjoy in a wrap or bowl.

Notes

Use firm or extra-firm tofu; silken tofu will not work.

Make it vegan by substituting plant-based butter.

Add extra spices like smoked paprika or chili powder for more depth.

For variety, swap buffalo sauce with teriyaki or barbecue sauce.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer for best crispiness.
