Ingredients
4 pounds apples, chopped (Ambrosia, Honeycrisp, or any eating apples)
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1 orange, chopped
2 quarts water
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a crockpot and set on low for 6 hours.
- Once the apples are soft, mash everything in the crockpot with a potato masher.
- Squeeze out as much juice as possible from the apples and orange.
- Scoop out chunks and pour the cider through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp.
- Serve warm immediately, or store in an airtight container for later use.

Adjust spices to taste — add more cinnamon, cloves, or even nutmeg.
