Description

A refreshing and elegant twist on the classic Hugo Spritz, the Cucumber Hugo Spritz blends elderflower liqueur, cucumber, mint, lime juice, and prosecco for a crisp, botanical summer cocktail.

Ingredients

1 oz elderflower liqueur

0.5 oz lime juice

Prosecco to top

Cucumber slices for muddling and garnish

Mint sprig for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle a few cucumber slices with the elderflower liqueur.
  2. Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously to combine and chill.
  3. In a wine glass, layer a thin cucumber slice with fresh ice.
  4. Strain the contents of the shaker into the prepared glass.
  5. Top with prosecco.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of mint and an extra rolled cucumber slice.

Notes

  • Use English or seedless cucumbers for best flavor and presentation.
  • Fresh lime juice is recommended for optimal taste.
  • This drink is best served immediately to preserve the prosecco’s fizz.
  • You can prepare the muddled cucumber and elderflower mixture up to 1 day in advance.
