Description

Easy Vanilla Blond Syrup, also known as Dutch Honey, is a rich and creamy homemade syrup with a sweet vanilla-caramel flavor. Perfect for drizzling over pancakes, waffles, French toast, biscuits, or desserts, this syrup comes together in just 15 minutes with simple ingredients.


Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup salted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon baking soda


Instructions

  1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine sugar, heavy cream, butter, and vanilla extract.
  2. Heat over medium heat until the mixture comes to a low boil, stirring continuously.
  3. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 5–10 minutes, stirring, until the syrup thickens to your desired consistency.
  4. Just before removing from heat, stir in the baking soda until fully dissolved.
  5. Serve warm over breakfast or dessert, or let cool and refrigerate for later use.
