Instructions
- Prep Bang Bang Sauce: Add all bang bang sauce ingredients (mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and honey) to a small bowl. Whisk thoroughly until smooth. Taste and adjust spice level with more sriracha or sweetness with honey or sweet chili sauce as desired. Chill the sauce in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Cook Ground Turkey: Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add ground turkey and break into small pieces with a spatula. Cook until turkey is browned and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F, about 6-8 minutes.
- Season Turkey: Lower heat to medium-low and stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, smoked paprika, onion powder, soy sauce, sriracha, chicken broth, honey, black pepper, and sea salt. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend flavors.
- Thicken Mixture: Sprinkle corn starch evenly over the turkey mixture and stir well to combine. This will thicken the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until thickened.
- Optional Mix-in: Just before serving, stir in 2 tablespoons of bang bang sauce into the ground turkey mixture for extra flavor if desired.
- Assemble Bowls: Build rice bowls by layering cooked rice and your preferred toppings like shredded carrots, cucumbers, edamame, pickled onions, avocado, cabbage, green onions, and sesame seeds. Spoon the warm ground turkey mixture on top. Drizzle with additional bang bang sauce and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
