Description

This Honey Garlic Salmon is a quick 20-minute recipe featuring a sweet and savory honey-lemon glaze with pan-fried salmon. It’s simple, flavorful, and perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

4 salmon filets, skin on

1 tablespoon oil

3 garlic cloves, minced

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season the salmon filets on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the salmon skin-side down and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Flip the salmon carefully. If the skin sticks, cook a little longer until it releases easily.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. In a small bowl, mix honey and lemon juice together.
  6. Pour the honey-lemon mixture into the skillet. Continue cooking for 1-3 minutes until the salmon is opaque and the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Remove from heat. Let cool slightly, then peel off the skin if desired. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

This recipe is naturally gluten-free.

Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy variation.

Use dill or thyme instead of parsley for different flavors.

For oven-baked salmon, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, then finish with the glaze.

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave for 30-60 seconds.
