Description
This Honey Garlic Salmon is a quick 20-minute recipe featuring a sweet and savory honey-lemon glaze with pan-fried salmon. It’s simple, flavorful, and perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
4 salmon filets, skin on
1 tablespoon oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the salmon filets on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the salmon skin-side down and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Flip the salmon carefully. If the skin sticks, cook a little longer until it releases easily.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, mix honey and lemon juice together.
- Pour the honey-lemon mixture into the skillet. Continue cooking for 1-3 minutes until the salmon is opaque and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat. Let cool slightly, then peel off the skin if desired. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
This recipe is naturally gluten-free.
Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy variation.
Use dill or thyme instead of parsley for different flavors.
For oven-baked salmon, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, then finish with the glaze.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave for 30-60 seconds.
