Description

A refreshing and lightly sweetened Iced Matcha Latte made with high-quality matcha powder, pure maple syrup, and your favorite non-dairy milk. This quick and easy beverage is perfect for a cool caffeine boost and can be prepared in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Matcha Mixture

  • ¼ cup hot water (around 175ºF or 80ºC)
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder (latte grade or ceremonial grade)

Sweetener

  • 2-3 teaspoons pure maple syrup

Milk

  • 2 cups non-dairy milk (your favorite variety)

Additional

  • Ice cubes (as needed for 2 large cups)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the matcha mixture: Combine the hot water and matcha powder in a bowl or a small pitcher. Whisk vigorously using a bamboo whisk or an electric frother until the powder is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth and frothy.
  2. Fill glasses with ice and matcha: Add ice cubes to two large cups. Divide the prepared matcha mixture evenly between the cups, pouring it over the ice to start chilling the beverage.
  3. Sweeten the latte: Add 2 to 3 teaspoons of pure maple syrup to the matcha in each cup, adjusting the sweetness to your preference. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Add the milk: Pour 1 cup of your preferred non-dairy milk into each cup. Stir thoroughly to blend all ingredients together.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Your refreshing Iced Matcha Latte is ready to be enjoyed immediately. Stir again if needed as you drink.

Notes

  • Use latte grade or ceremonial grade matcha for the best flavor and smoothness.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup or substituting with simple syrup if preferred.
  • Any non-dairy milk such as almond, oat, soy, or coconut milk works well in this recipe.
  • Whisking the matcha well helps prevent lumps and ensures a smooth drink.
  • For a frothier latte, use a handheld milk frother or an electric mixer when preparing the matcha mixture.
