Description

Maple Sriracha Roasted Cauliflower is a flavorful and spicy side dish that perfectly balances the sweetness of maple syrup with the heat of sriracha. Roasted to golden perfection, this cauliflower recipe is easy to prepare and makes a vibrant addition to any meal.

Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized pieces

Sauce & Seasoning

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to get it ready for roasting the cauliflower.
  2. Prepare cauliflower and sauce: Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl. In a separate small bowl, mix together the olive oil, sriracha, maple syrup, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the cauliflower, tossing thoroughly to coat each piece evenly.
  3. Initial roasting: Spread the coated cauliflower out evenly on a large baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, stirring the cauliflower once halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  4. Increase temperature and finish roasting: After 20 minutes, increase the oven temperature to 475°F (246°C). Continue roasting the cauliflower for an additional 12 minutes or until the pieces are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  5. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately as a spicy and sweet roasted vegetable side dish.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, spread cauliflower pieces out in a single layer without overcrowding on the baking sheet.
  • You can adjust the amount of sriracha to control the level of heat according to your taste.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best texture.
  • If you prefer a less sweet dish, reduce the maple syrup slightly.
