Description

No Bake Oreo Balls are a delightful and easy-to-make treat combining crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese, coated in luscious melted white and semi-sweet chocolate. Perfect for parties or as a fun homemade dessert, these bite-sized snacks require no baking and come together in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ounce) package Oreo cookies
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

Chocolate Coating

  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Crushed Oreos for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Oreo crumbs and cream cheese: In a food processor, add the package of Oreo cookies and pulse until they are finely ground into crumbs. Then add the softened cream cheese and pulse again until the mixture is thoroughly combined into a smooth dough-like consistency.
  2. Scoop and freeze: Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, form the mixture into 1-inch balls and roll them smooth with your hands. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for about 20 minutes to firm up.
  3. Melt the chocolates: Place the white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips in two separate microwave-safe bowls. Microwave each bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolates are fully melted and smooth.
  4. Dip the Oreo balls: Using a fork, carefully dip each frozen Oreo ball into either the melted white or semi-sweet chocolate until fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off, then place the coated balls back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Set and decorate: Let the chocolate coating set by refrigerating the Oreo balls for faster firming. Optionally, drizzle extra melted chocolate over the top or sprinkle with crushed Oreos for decoration and added texture.

Notes

  • Soften the cream cheese to room temperature for easier blending and a smoother texture.
  • Freezing the balls before dipping prevents them from breaking apart and makes the chocolate coating easier to apply.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  • Store finished Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a variation, try using milk chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips for coating instead.
