Description
This refreshing Mango Sorbet recipe is a quick and easy way to enjoy a naturally sweet, dairy-free frozen treat. Made with ripe mangoes, honey, and a splash of lime juice, it’s perfect for a healthy dessert or snack that captures the tropical flavors in every bite.
Ingredients
Fruit
- 4 medium-large mangoes, peeled, seeded, and cubed
Sweetener
- 1/2 cup honey
Citrus
- 1 lime, juiced
Instructions
- Freeze the Mango: Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and spread the prepared mango cubes evenly over it. Place the pan in the freezer and freeze the mango for about 4 hours or until the pieces are fully firm to ensure smooth blending later.
- Blend the Sorbet Base: Add the frozen mango cubes, honey, and fresh lime juice into a high-speed blender or food processor. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides. If the sorbet is too icy and resistant, allow it to sit in the blender for 10-12 minutes to soften slightly, then blend again.
- Serve or Store: Serve the mango sorbet immediately as a soft-serve dessert for a refreshing treat. Alternatively, transfer it to an airtight container and freeze until firm for a more traditional sorbet texture. Scoop with an ice cream scoop when ready to serve.
Notes
- Use ripe mangoes for the best sweetness and flavor.
- You can substitute honey with agave or maple syrup for a different natural sweetener.
- If you prefer a less sweet sorbet, adjust the amount of honey accordingly.
- For a smoother texture, make sure the mango cubes are well frozen before blending.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
