Description

Sheet Pan Buffalo Chicken Sliders feature tender shredded chicken tossed in spicy buffalo sauce, layered with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, all nestled in soft King’s Hawaiian rolls. This easy-to-make dish combines zesty and cheesy flavors, perfect for game day, BBQs, or a tasty appetizer.

Ingredients

Chicken Mixture

  • 3 1/2 cups shredded chicken (rotisserie recommended)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (e.g., Franks)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • Pinch of black pepper

Cheeses

  • 2 cups low moisture mozzarella cheese, freshly grated
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded

Slider Buns and Topping

  • 12 count King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Chicken Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, honey, minced garlic, and black pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  3. Prepare Slider Buns: Carefully slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Assemble Sliders: Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom buns. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the chicken layer to create a gooey, cheesy topping. Optionally, layer cheese, chicken, and then cheese again to lock in flavors.
  5. Top and Butter: Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese layer. In a small bowl, combine melted butter with Italian seasoning and garlic salt. Brush most of this butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls, reserving some for after baking.
  6. Bake Covered: Cover the sliders loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
  7. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to allow the tops to get slightly golden and crisp.
  8. Serve: Let the sliders cool for a few minutes. Optionally, brush the reserved butter mixture on top for a shiny finish. Cut into individual sliders and serve warm for best flavor.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheeses for better melting and flavor—avoid pre-shredded cheese with anti-caking agents.
  • Rotisserie chicken works perfectly for quick prep but cooked shredded chicken can be substituted.
  • Adjust buffalo sauce quantity to control spiciness to your taste preference.
  • For a crispier top, broil the sliders for 1-2 minutes after baking uncovered, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  • These sliders are best served immediately but can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated gently.
