Description

Adorable Teddy Bear Chocolate Chip Cookies that combine the soft, chewy texture of classic chocolate chip cookies with a fun bear-shaped design, complete with easy icing decorations for the cutest edible treat.

Ingredients

1 ½ cups (187.5 g) all-purpose flour

¼ tsp (1 g) baking powder

½ tsp (2 g) baking soda

¾ tsp (4.5 g) table salt

½ cup (113.5 g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled

⅓ cup (73.33 g) brown sugar, packed

½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar

1 egg

1 tsp (4 g) vanilla extract

1 cup (180 g) chocolate chips

4 tbsp (32 g) powdered sugar

1 tsp (7.5–18.75 g) water

Food coloring (black and pink or red)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract; stir until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients, then stir in chocolate chips until dough forms.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop medium dough balls (2–3 tbsp each) onto baking sheets, spacing 3–4 inches apart.
  7. Place small 1 tsp dough balls on the top left and right for bear ears.
  8. Bake 11–13 minutes until edges are golden. Cool 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
  9. Prepare icing by mixing powdered sugar with ¼ tsp water at a time until smooth and pipeable.
  10. Divide icing into three portions: white for snout/ears, black for eyes/nose, pink/red for blush.
  11. Pipe decorations: start with white icing, let dry slightly, then add black details and pink blush.
  12. Allow icing to set, then serve and enjoy!
