Ingredients
Pizza Base
- 1 ball pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
Toppings
- 1/3 cup red onion, sliced
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 ball burrata cheese
- 1 cup arugula
- 1/4 cup pistachios
Instructions
- Preheat Oven. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the pizza.
- Prepare Pizza Dough. Roll out the pizza dough by hand or with a rolling pin to your desired thickness, then transfer it onto a large baking sheet. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil evenly over the dough and set it aside.
- Sauté Onions. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced red onions and cook until they become translucent, releasing their natural sweetness. Once done, spread the onions evenly over the prepared pizza dough.
- Add Cheese. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly atop the onions, then place the whole ball of burrata cheese on the pizza for a rich, creamy texture.
- Bake Pizza (First Stage). Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes to cook the dough and melt the cheeses.
- Add Arugula and Pistachios. Remove the pizza from the oven and scatter fresh arugula and pistachios evenly on top. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until the arugula softens slightly and the pistachios toast lightly.
- Serve. Take the pizza out of the oven, slice it into portions, and enjoy this luscious and flavorful white pizza immediately.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, pre-bake the pizza dough for 5-7 minutes before adding toppings.
- You can substitute arugula with fresh spinach if preferred.
- Toast pistachios separately for an intensified nutty flavor before topping.
- Use fresh burrata for best creamy texture.
