Description

These Cheeseburger Sliders are a perfect crowd-pleaser with juicy ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and a savory blend of ketchup, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce, all nestled within soft dinner rolls. Ready in just 30 minutes, they make for an ideal appetizer or casual meal that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 package (12 sliders) dinner rolls
  • 1 block (8 ounces) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 dill pickle, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prepare for baking the sliders later.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the oil is hot and sizzling, about 1 minute. Add the ground beef and cook it until browned on all sides, approximately 6-8 minutes. Break up the beef into small pieces to ensure even browning throughout.
  3. Sauté Onion: Add the thinly sliced yellow onion to the skillet with the beef. Sauté the mixture until the onions become tender and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add Sauces and Seasonings: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise, salt, and ground black pepper into the beef and onion mixture. Mix well and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally to combine the flavors thoroughly. Remove the skillet from heat once done.
  5. Prepare Roll Base: Place the package of dinner rolls on the lined baking sheet. Slice the rolls evenly in half lengthwise, leaving the bottom halves intact on the baking sheet.
  6. Assemble Sliders: Spread the beef mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Top the beef with shredded cheddar cheese and add thin slices of dill pickle if using. Finish assembling by placing the top halves of the rolls over the cheese and pickles.
  7. Brush with Butter and Bake: Brush the tops of the assembled sliders evenly with melted butter. Bake the sliders in the preheated oven until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted, approximately 12-15 minutes.
  8. Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven, slice them apart, and serve warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a dash of garlic powder or smoked paprika to the beef mixture.
  • If you prefer a spicy kick, add some finely chopped jalapeños or a teaspoon of hot sauce to the beef.
  • The sliders can be made ahead and refrigerated; reheat in the oven to melt the cheese before serving.
  • Choose soft, fresh dinner rolls to ensure the sliders remain tender and easy to eat.
  • Optional dill pickles add a nice tang and slight crunch but can be omitted based on preference.
