Description

Delight in these easy-to-make Strawberry Shortcake Truffles, combining the classic flavors of golden Oreos, freeze-dried strawberries, and creamy cheese, all dipped in a smooth white candy coating. Perfect for a quick treat or party dessert, these no-bake truffles take only 15 minutes to prepare and will satisfy any sweet tooth with their rich, fruity taste and elegant appearance.

Ingredients

Truffle Ingredients

  • 26 Golden Oreos
  • 0.8 ounce bag freeze-dried strawberries
  • 5 ounces cream cheese, softened

Coating Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups white candy melts
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare Oreo-Strawberry Crumbs: Add the Oreos and freeze-dried strawberries into a food processor and pulse until they form a fine crumb.
  2. Reserve Some Crumbs: Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the crumb mixture and set aside for sprinkling later.
  3. Form Truffle Mixture: Add the softened cream cheese to the food processor with the crumbs and pulse until a dough-like ball forms.
  4. Scoop Truffles: Using a 1 1/2 tablespoon cookie scoop or preferred size, scoop the mixture onto a piece of parchment paper.
  5. Shape Truffles: Roll each scoop between your hands to form smooth, round balls.
  6. Melt Coating: In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the white candy melts and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
  7. Dip Truffles: Dip each truffle into the melted candy coating, tapping off any excess by gently tapping the fork on the bowl’s rim.
  8. Set on Parchment: Use a skewer to place the coated truffle back onto the parchment paper.
  9. Sprinkle Topping: Quickly sprinkle the reserved Oreo-strawberry crumbs over the coated truffles before the coating sets.
  10. Refrigerate: Store the finished truffles in the fridge until the coating hardens and they are set for serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy blending.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, you can crush the Oreos finely by hand and crumble the freeze-dried strawberries before mixing.
  • Adjust the size of the truffles by varying the scoop size to your liking.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
